I was having the same issue for pc, unlinking my EA desktop beta from the xbox app and then uninstalling worked for me.
first go to ea.com
second sign in and go to account settings
third go down to connections then unlink the xbox subscription
should uninstall now.
simplest method for amatuer pc users like me
