I have the same problem with battlefield. i downloaded it twice on two different drives and it's still not working... did you find a solution ?

i found a solution after downloading twice the game.
It seems that we are unable to locate the game if the files have the suffix "_DiP_Staged".
So i made a python script to remove for every files in sub folder the suffix "_DiP_Staged" in the name.
(you have to execute the python script in battlefield folder)
When every files are all without "_DiP_Staged", you have to cancel/uninstall the game but without deleting battlefield files,
so you have to move the folder to another location (when ea desktop is fully shutdown and ea background service shutdown as well)
and then uninstall the game from ea desktop.
Then you can locate the files of Battlefield by downloading in the existing Battlefield folder.
@Raxyl381 Bro, you are a genius! I have saved that script for whenever this error happens. For anyone wondering how to use it:
You have to go the installation folder of the game and rename it to anything (This will Make EA App not read the files) (if you omit this step, EA app will delete the files of the game and you will be forced to completely restart the download), then uninstall the game from EA App. Close EA app, make sure its closed from task manager and any EA app services. Then:
1. Download @Raxyl381 's script (KEEP A COPY OF THIS MASTERPIECE. he is out here doing EA's work)
2. Paste a copy of the script in original game file (any EA game with Dip Staged)
3. Download and Install python
4. Run Python Module Docs
5. Go on file -> open -> open script in game folder (if you don't see it, make sure to select .txt files from bottom right)
6. In the opened script window open File -> Run Module
7. DONE! all files should be renamed without DipStaged extension files.
8. Install game from EA App to directory and it should start scanning game files
