Download Manager Forever Downloading Not Downloading

Summarize your bug I had the download manager act really weird. Just forever looking like it downloaded while it didn't download.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? No idea. Sorry. Just wanted to document it. Has happened several times between reboots.
What happens when the bug occurs? See the video
What do you expect to see? It not doing what the video is doing.

    It's an almost year old bug that is now long fixed 🙂

    I had the same issue tonight attempting to download the sims3 expansion packs. The base game downloaded fine and then the downloader crashed. App recovery was ineffective. When I got fed up and attempted to uninstall EA Desktop completely, the removal tool would not launch. Poor app performance is why I drifted from these games in the first place. Back to steam I go.

    Tried it. Doesn't work. Tried clearing cache and restarting app. Still doesn't work.

    Works if downloading EA but not any games on EA.

    I'm getting exactly the same thing and clearing the cache does nothing to help.
