EA App constantly freezes and has to be force quit

Hello everyone, I've installed the EA app on my new MacBook, and every single time I close a game and leave the app open (because I plan on playing it later) it ends up freezing when I want to run a game later. It isn't solved on its own, I have to force quit it and restart the app every. single. time.

This is exclusively a Mac problem -- I've never had this issue with my Windows PC. Is this a known bug? Has anyone else experienced this recently?
