Every time I try to launch a game via Steam, or manually launch the app myself, it crashes.
I've clean installing the app using Revo Uninstaller, I've cleared the cache, I've clean-booted windows, I've run System File Checker for windows as well as cleared all of my services (which broke almost every other program on my computer without even fixing the problem), nothing works.
Issue seemingly resolved after I fresh installed Windows due to the issues caused by disabling services. (More accurately, I took this as an opportunity to get my windows 11 upgrade out of the way, of the off chance that's relevant.)

Well, it was working for a while but now it's stopped. It crashes on start up like before :/
The only specific thing I can think of that's changed between a few days ago and now was I updated my Nvidia drivers.
I would Love a refund for all games I have purchased on this EA App it is so busted, and I can't even play or open the app. I dont think they care about the customers.
It's ridiculous. I cant play a game I paid for because of this garbage launcher that doesn't work.
If you're gunna try and compete with steam at least make sure your software actually works.

BTW I did every bs **bleep** method to fix this problem and the only one that worked was windows update, please make sure to click check for updates and reset after it worked for me
I found the solution! This has been happening to me often. It has to do with their new anticheat. For some odd reason, from what I believe, the app crashes when you open the game because it tries to install the anticheat. Again, for some odd reason, it fails. I just happened to check the dump files and they are stored in the anticheat directory, which was lacking the anticheat program. I don't know why it isn't preinstalled smh. Anyhoo, after maually installing the anticheat for my game (pvzbfn) it booted up no problem! I'll attach the steam thread I found the instructions for manually installing it.
