Please try the following steps as well:
- Open task manager, locate EA Background Service, and end task
- Run the EA app as an administrator
- Check for any background applications blocking the EA App
- Try lowering your User Access Control Settings:
- Close the EA app
- Click the Windows button and type "UAC" in the search field
- In the User Access Control window, click and hold the slide bar —slide it to the lowest setting available
- Click Okay the bottom of the window
- Run a clean boot on your PC

I have this same issue, the app opens fine, but nothing loads inside the app. No games, library, store, nothing. I have tried force stopping the app, running it as an admin, but nothing works.

Same problem. EA App loads to a black screen with just the logo and a line and an x at the top. When I hover around it I can find invisible links and I can even blindly login, but just another black screen pops up. I have followed every instruction I can find, short of running a clean boot. I am not an IT tech. I am not going to go poking around and mess something up and not be able to fix it just because one game won't load properly. I lost all my existing saved games when I was forced to move from CD-based gaming to Origin and now to the EA App. When I think of all that time lost, and now I have to invest more hours into finding a fix! Your play, EA. Fix your stupid app already!
