I installed the EA app since orgin is phased out. I cannot get the EA app to load. I keep getting EC:104 then I say restart app and it just stays on the restarting app screen.

For some reason mine was fixed when I realized my clock and date was wrong. Syncing it fixed it
I had a same problem guys.
Always wanted to play NFS 2015, waited so long until I could enjoy the game, bought it on Steam, linked my accounts. And I've had the EC:104 error for over an hour.
It's so frustrating to have wasted money for nothing.
I even reinstalled my OS and removed my antivirus, nothing helped! Thanks to those who take my money but don't give me what I paid for. Very disappointed with the service.
I've been using steam for my sims 4 but when downloading it, it forces you to download ea. It wont work without ea, and I have been having this same error for about 2 days now. So this is legitimately a problem EA is having and is refusing to fix.
having the exact same problem but with FIFA 23. It's worked up to now. I have it on steam and whenever I try to start it EA Desktop says error code EC:104, Reinstalled, restarted, everything. Can't even start the EA app by itself. It still crashes with same error.
I have the same problem. It's just not fair how EA treats this kind of problem. I paid for a FIFA game in order to play it, I made the purchase on Steam, but now because of this EA app, I can't even open the game anymore. After I press the restart button it's stuck to 'Connecting to the EA app'.
I found a solution. You have to install the EA-App Installer again and start it. After that press the repair button. The EA App updates itself and all should be fine. That worked for me.
