EA app games won’t install on steam

Linking your Steam and EA account doesn't transfer your EA app games to Steam, so any games that you don't already own on Steam won't show up there.

Was the article that showed you that information an official EA one? if so, could you share it with me?

You'll have to forgive me since I don't speak Swedish, but which line exactly are you referring to? Is it "Steam installerar ditt spel och låter dig veta när det är klart att spela."? Because looking at the English translation, it's referring to EA games that you already own on Steam.

Sorry for getting back to you so late! While there isn't a way to transfer your games over, you can set up shortcuts in your Steam to non-Steam games (By clicking "add a game" in the bottom left of your Steam library) if you still want to keep everything together. You'd just still need to install them via the EA app.
