EA App Install Error - INST-14-1601

    So we were having the same exact issue. We were able to fix it by:

    1. Going to Control Panel

    2. Programs and Features

    3. Uninstall EVERY SINGLE Microsoft C++ Redistributable

    4. Download EA App installer DONT RUN YET

    5. go to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 and download appropriate architecture of latest C++ 

    6. Install the C++ Package

    7. Go to Local Disk/Program Files/ Electronic Arts AND DELETE THE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC ARTS FOLDER

    8. Restart Computer

    9. Install EA App

    10. Profit
