I had the same issue and the following worked for me: I checked all the "Microsoft Visual C++..." under "Apps" and choosed "Repair" where it was available. I restarted my computer and then the installation went just fine.
Many of us need help to solve this problem and there does not seem to be any answers coming from the people who develop this EA APP. I have repaired may C++ and that did not fix the problem. my computer is only 8 months old. Windows 11, Why can they not make an app that works with the newest computers. I would really like to play a game to night. but I have no way of doing so. I hope they revert back to Origin in the morning.

I fear I have screwed up my computer so bad now trying to find a fix, that I am going to have to give up. EA please find another app to make Sims work.
i found a solution that worked for me that fixed this you have to restart your computer go to your search and type restart PC then click the first one and click the one that says clear everything please make sure you know the password and email before doing this after that there is a thing called f something click that it might take like 5 minutes to be finished and then you're good
