EA App keeps losing connection on game download, but my internet is fine

Summarize your bug EA App keeps pausing my download due to lost connection, but continues downloading right after unpausing. I have no such problems on any other platform and haven't had it on EA App earlier either.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By trying to download something I guess?
What happens when the bug occurs? The download stops, I get a pop-up suggesting that my internet connection was lost, when it is clearly fine.
What do you expect to see? The game downloading normally like on any other launcher.

I am 100% sure that my internet connection is fine, and I've restarted my router, cleared the cache, nothing seems to help. I just want to download a game without manually unpausing the download every 1-10 minutes. I've went through all possible connection troubleshooting in case I'm delusional or whatever.

  • Same here, trying to download BF2042, the only workaround I found was limiting download rate to 1MB/s (anything over that keeps on stopping the download, at least in my case), but that is so damn slow...  Blizzard app works fine, downloads 80gb games w/o stopping at full speed, Steam too, so its clearly EA app that's causing issues.

  • ok so the EA app/game launcher keep acting like my internet go out when everything on my PC still has internet i know this for a fact. i have cams running on my PC and they would freeze if the internet for the PC go out. so fix you BS "App" and quit blaming every ones ISP.

  • This is still not fixed, experiencing it right now. Very frustrating to see this "Community Manager" being very ignorant about this. Just letting this comment here to show other people "No you are not alone, and it is very likely not your ISP, the App is just the worst launcher we have".
