EA app Malfunctioning With Pi-Hole/AdGuard On Network

@hstervr I just went off of what @HerkyTP found, they are also running a Pi-Hole and it also worked for me.

CM edit: edited title for clarity.

    Hey everyone,

You may have noticed that I've merged several scattered posts and threads into this new discussion focusing on the incomplete loading of the EA app library and the issue of game tiles appearing greyed out.

In many cases, these issues seem to be linked to the presence of Pi-Hole, AdGuard, or other DNS filtering devices or services on the network or machine. Disabling these services could potentially resolve these problems. I've also included this information in our Troubleshooting the EA app guide, accessible here.

    Cheers.

  • This does not fix the problem. Lost all my 28 games... I have reinstalled the EA app and cleared cache, restarted the computer but still nothing.

    EDIT:

Found a solution that worked for me. Whitelisted sdk.split.io in my DNS and it worked

  • I'm currently experiencing a problem with the EA app not showing my games. I see their placeholders, but no images appear and I'm not able to find a launch button. I've cleared the app's cache. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but I still get the same issue. The home page still displays all it's advertisements for new games and such and I can see those images, but my library only shows placeholders. Any ideas?

    Thanks

In my case, I had to whitelist this domain from being blocked in my DNS server that I run locally on my network.

Depending on how your network is set up, you'd need to allow this domain too.

If you don't have any special setup and just run your ISP DNS, you could point your computer's DNS to Google (8.8.8.8) to test.
