Ea app not working without Wi-Fi. Sims 4 isn’t an online game.

Question

I don’t have Wi-Fi in my home right now, will be like this for some months, and I want to play the sims 4 but I need internet connection, for some stupid reason, to open the ea app. They forced me to start using the ea app earlier this year (played my games through origin before) and I haven’t been out of internet when I want to play since the switch. (I don’t play as often as before.) The sims is not an online game and I never needed connection when I used origin.

Why is it like this!? I’ve paid a lot of money for my games and now I can’t access them.

You should be able to play the game still. Are you in the "Go Offline" mode? If you are, I think you'll be able to launch and play the game with no problem, since, as you said, the game is not an online one.

It is possible you need to be online first to go offline (which is dumb, I know), but can you temporarily use a mobile hotspot on your computer just to do this?
