EA app seems to be causing issues.

EA app seems to be causing issues with launching the game.

So, I bought Battlefield 2042 yesterday through Steam, I haven't been able to even get the game to launch. What happens when I try to get the game to launch on Steam, it says that the game is launching for about 2 seconds, then doesn't launch, blank EA app window opens up, and then like a minute later I get a message that says "There was an error on our end that caused the game to fail, try again later." This has happened every single time I tried to launch the game as I tried to find out the issue and fix it. I reinstalled the game and the app again, gave admin rights to all .exe files in the bf folder, tried to even launch through Origin but that just told me that the game wasn't installed.

I am out of ideas, I wanted to play the game but it has only managed to raise my blood pressure without even managing to work properly.

I was was wrong, i got a trial version of the game to work with the ea play memebership i have through microsoft. Actual game via microsoft doesnt work through origin but it still recognized i had ea play and let me finish the trial. Truly insane.

@x_Chaunce_x Pretty sure it has Something to do with data trash from the Trail or Beta. Most people having this issue also had the trial installed.
Idk what to do…tried so many things even upgraded to win 11 and disconnected all drives except for C:\\. Nothing worked and the behavior was the Same every Time….

Its a real damn shame too man, the game is fun to play but i guess ill never really get into the groove with it. Typical EA. Theres a reason i discontinued eaplay membership: no next gen madden on pc and just terrible customer service.

Alright i officially give up. I put the game back on the original drive (thinking this would fix it, and id just have to deal with a few dozen less frames and slower loading), not the case. Wouldnt boot any longer, tried different compatibilities different admin settings the whole 9. Was able to get the game to boot with the Trial.exe but the last 14 minutes burnt through while i was experimenting. Ive uninstalled origin and ea app and wont be coming back. Been a fun 20+ years EA, bummer.
