  • Hello @remimaiii, I'm so sorry this has happened to you!
I would fill out an EA Error Report. I had the same issue about 6 months ago, filled out an error report and it was sorted within 3 days. Describe the issue in the same level of detail you have shared on here and it'll help them resolve the error.
To fill out an EA Error Report, do the following steps:
    1. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the EA app screen.
    2. Hover over 'help'
    3. Click EA Error Reporter
    4. Let it make changes to your device
    5. Fill out the form.
    6. Submit!

Alternatively, if you cannot get into the EA app at all, try visiting https://help.ea.com/en/help-home/ to find a solution to your problem. I recommend the 'emailing EA' option as I personally think it's the quickest solution. However, feel free to read the docs related to your problem and fix it yourself in possibly less time depending on whether or not you understand what is required 🙂

    Hope this helps xx

I DON'T WORK FOR EA BUT I ENJOY HELPING PEOPLE FIX THEIR GAMES AND EA APP! 🙂
  • I was having the same issue too!

I fixed it through the following steps (on Windows 11 OS):

    1. Navigate to File Explorer
    2. Go into 'Program Files' folder
    3. Go into 'Electronic Arts' folder
    4. Go into both 'EA Desktop' folders
    5. Scroll down until you find the 'App Recovery' file, double-click it
    6. A confirmation window will popup with the option to 'clear cache'
    7. After cache is cleared, the app should restart on its own and the update will start again.

    Hope this helps!
