EA App suddenly stopped opening on Windows 11

Hi everyone,

About two days ago, the EA App suddenly stopped opening on my computer without any apparent reason. Until then, I was able to play my games normally, but now, when I try to launch the app, nothing happens — no error message, and the interface doesn’t show up.

What I’ve tried so far:
Ending all EA-related processes in Task Manager and trying again
Adding an exception in the antivirus and even disabling it
Running as administrator
Changing compatibility settings
Running EA App Recovery and EA App Update
Submitting a report using EA Error Reporter (I have the ticket ID)
Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App
Rolling back the latest Windows updates

Still, the issue remains. Interestingly, the EA App appears as a running process in Task Manager, but the interface never loads. Even when trying to launch a game directly from its shortcut, neither the game nor the EA App starts.

Additional info:
Windows 11, version 24H2, build 26.100.3624
I work in IT and have technical knowledge, I’ve tried many solutions before reaching out here.
No system changes or suspicious installations occurred between the time it was working and when it stopped.

I honestly don’t know what else to do. If anyone has faced this issue or knows of a fix, I’d really appreciate your help!

I didn't open the EA app for a long time until I opened my Battlefield 1 and found that the update progress reached zero and I couldn't download the update.

  • I tried all the above steps and it didn't work, so i did a little more digging.
i found my issue was caused by msconfig.

go in there, select general (selective startup), go into services, hide all microsoft services.
disable all, then reboot the pc.
once on desktop, go back to msconfig, do the same as above, but this time, enable all, keep EA stuff unticked. Reboot.
then finally, go back to msconfig, as above, disable all, then enable all, reboot one final time and it seemed to work for me.

    good luck.
