I turned on my PC, tried to launch The Sims, and was told I can't because "Origin was not installed." However, I have the EA App installed, and when I tried to launch it, I was told my PC couldn't find the shortcut or launcher. When I tried to uninstall EA App, it could not uninstall, as the computer could not find the uninstaller. When I tried to reinstall, it said EA App was already installed. I do not want to lose progress on my saves, nor do I want to spend hours reinstalling my games. When I turned my PC off last night EA App was still installed and I was able to play the Sims. I do not know what has changed since then.

I was able to fix it by force uninstalling it through the cmd prompt and then reinstalling from the website. Previously, repair and reinstall options had not worked.

Right on. Glad you were able to get that installed. I will make note of how this went thought just in case it pops up again.
