EA App uninstalled itself, can't install it again

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know, this happened randomly, just woke up, turned on my pc and it already happened (last night when I turned it off everything was fine)
What happens when the bug occurs? when I try to install the EA App
What do you expect to see? a normal installation

EA App uninstalled itself out of nowhere today. the shortcut in my desktop had no icon and did nothing, I went into the EA App folder and tried to open the app but it just gave me an error with no code so I just deleted all those files and tried to do a new clean installation, redownloaded the EA App installer and now it says [Windows can't find the file "C:\Program Files\ElectronicArts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\Ea Launcher.exe". Make sure the name is written correctly and try again.] (see image) everytime I try to run the installer and I don't know what to do now, why would it ask me to have the EA launcher if I'm supposed to be installing it right now?, of course I won't have it

Hi! I had this issue too, I had to uninstall absolutely everything. Go through everything and uninstall anything EA related. Then redownload. I hope this works for you! You may have to redownload any games you had.

Had this happen to me today too. The new EA App absolutely sucks! When you say install are you also referring to all games and the EA folders of stored games? I want to make sure I get all the EA software off so I can try and reinstall this stupid app.

I was getting the error while trying to install only the app but I still had 2 games installed from before I did the initial uninstall of everything
they were saved on C:\Program Files\EA Games
I uninstalled both of them from settings on my pc, tried the install after that and worked fine

I found that restarting my computer and then downloading the app installer again presented me with the option to 'repair' the app instead of installing it again, meaning I didn't have to delete any of my games. (I had already started by deleting one though so I would recommend trying this option before deleting 60gb games en masse)

@Foraaikou I’m going to try reinstalling. I made a copy of my saves. Smh I was holding off moving my mods from the C to D drive but I guess I may end up having to if reinstalling doesn’t prompt the repair option. It was working fine yesterday and then the shortcut disappeared and any exe I find for the EA app on my computer doesn’t launch but talks about a crash and background services but nothing. I wished EA would actually for once focus as much energy in bettering this train wreck launcher they forced so many players to use as they do with nixed the workarounds to keep using origin. It’s honestly disgusting and pathetic. And then some of the people that are suppose to help customers have no idea what they’re talking about and make things worse and you instead get far better support from fellow customers. It’s appalling and shameless. Before I was rather indifferent to the new competitors in life simulation but now I wish them even more success. We already know sims 5 will fail since EA is yet again trying to double dip.

@gohanxvidel oh no the exact same thing happened to me. I can't believe this level of unprofessional hot garbage software. I'll never buy another EA title, this has got to be the worst gaming customer experience.

When I try to run the sims 4 it says that "origin is not installed, install to play game". When I look for the EA app it's not there at all and then when I try to reinstall it says that ea is already installed but it gives an option to repair. this has happened 3 times now.

Thanks a lot! it worked. I restart the PC and downloaded the installer, and click on repair. It worked, thanks a lot.
