EA app will not open games in offline mode.

It says "Check your internet connection while we try to reconnect you, or launch one of you installed games to play offline". When I click on The Sims 4 box nothing happens. So did I just spend $80 on expansions I can't play?

    Me again (third post this thread.)

    Last week when I couldn't get online I ALSO COULD NOT OPEN MY GAME.   I restarted the app over and over again with the same result shown.  Look at the screenshot and tell me HOW can one play offline when Electronic Arts INSISTS we can?!?

    Why does EA think that this is in any way acceptable? You can be certain that if ford forced me to update my truck and i was left unable to drive they would be doing more than "apologizing". Which, by the way, EA has thus far refused to do. Be aware that many, many, attorneys are compiling evidence for civil suits. I personally believe that this app rollout is tantamount to theft of personal property. Image if samsung forced you to watch dvds on their device, then forced you to replace that device with one that doesn't work. This is unforgivable. Nobody forced EA to ditch origin before the replacement was anywhere near ready for release. The most infuriating part is your absolute refusal to acknowledge that you messed up. This will not stand. The law is very clear, digital property is still property and you aren't allowed to steal it. Give me my games back.


    A class action? I'll put my appellation on that. Shoot me a line when it's ready.

  • I can't even play my games in Online mode, let alone Offline mode. Your app is a joke. I am never going to buy another game form EA again after this garbage. Its bad enough you forced me to download Origin back in the day even thought I bought TS4 on disk. Now I can't even play my game at all 90% of the time even when online!!!!

    You clamed you were fixing it but its been months, if and when that class action comes around I am in. Or even better yet, maybe you can just move us all over to Steam and free us from your incompetence.

  • It's the 17th of May. I didn't have hopes with your company and I never will. A company that literally only cares about FUT on consoles and refuses to help any person who plays any game on pc. You killed Battlefront II at its peak, left thousands of people unable to play when offline, forced to use 2 different apps that were incredibly bad for different reasons. I don't think there's a worse company than EA. I'm so sad that you have the ability to make money with Fifa because if it wasn't for that little gamemode you launched a while back, now you would have failed as a whole. I would like to know when this fix is coming but the reality is that it's never coming. You guys promise stuff all the time but never deliver. Such a s***y company you are.
