EA app won’t download

I found a solution.

When you get the error, keep it like it is because if you close the dialog the following folder is removed. Then go to "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts" and copy its contents. 

After the copy you can close the error dialog and look for "EADesktop.exe" run this. In my case I got a missing dll exception. 

I searched on google for this. The solution was to go into windows settings => apps => installed apps => Microsoft visual c++ 2015-2019 redistributable => click the 3 dots => click change => click repair. 

After this I tried installing the EA app again now it continued succesfully.

Same problem for me, the installer runs until 90% and then it gives an error. I attached a screenshot of the error.

Brand new PC with windows 11. I tried running it as administrator but still no luck. I also installed the latest updates. 

I even updated to version windows 11 22H2 but keeps giving me this error. 

I hope there will be an answer soon because I just bought a game and can't run it untill I can install this app. 

This is happening to me as well. Can download the installer from the website but when I open it it gets to roughly 80% then fails. 
tried moving it to its own folder in C drive and running as admin but still has the same result. I’m on windows 11 brand new laptop. 

This is happening to me as well. Can download the installer onto my system but when I try to then install from there on it gets to about 80% and then shows an error message. I’ve tried putting the downloaded into a c: folder and starting as administrator but still has same result. 
I am in windows 11 for reference on brand new laptop. 

Hey @amyvanwyk11 is the issue with the download of the installer or when installing the downloaded file?
