Thanks for the update -- and no worries on the earlier tone. What matters is that we now have clear, reproducible behaviour to work from.
Given that the app briefly launches, then silently shuts down with no error output (even after a Windows 11 upgrade), the most likely cause at this point is a corrupted install or leftover files that a standard uninstall/reinstall won’t touch.
Let’s tackle this in two deliberate passes.
Before doing a full wipe, try a repair using the latest installer, as outlined in this guide: [INFO/GUIDE] How to repair the EA app for Windows
Steps:
- Download the EA app installer fresh from the official EA site.
- Run the installer.
- When prompted, choose Repair.
- Click Yes when Windows asks for permission and let the process complete.
- Reboot and test the app.
If the app still closes immediately, move on to Step 2.
If repair doesn’t resolve it, follow the clean uninstall process in this guide: [INFO/GUIDE] How to uninstall the EA app and remove leftover files
Why this matters:
The default Windows uninstaller often leaves behind registry entries and cached files that can continue to break the app even after a reinstall.
Summary of the process:
- Use Revo Uninstaller (Free version is sufficient).
- Uninstall the EA app and allow the default uninstaller to finish.
- Run an Advanced scan when prompted.
- Delete all leftover registry entries and remaining files/folders.
- Restart your PC.
- Download and install the EA app again from the official site.
You’ve already ruled out OS versioning, updates, VPNs, and overlays. At this point, the goal is to either fully clear corrupted remnants or confirm that something deeper is interfering during startup.
Let us know which step changes the behaviour (if any) -- that detail is critical for determining the next escalation path.
