EA App won't add games to My Collection or let me download

Summarize your bug Can't add games to my collection or download games.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? No idea, but multiple people have the same issue
What happens when the bug occurs? Spins for a while and doesn't get added to My Collection so I can download the games.
What do you expect to see? The game to download.

I have been trying to use the EA App ever since it was released in BETA form and despite opening multiple tickets with EA to try and resolve the issue, they just send the same generic rubbish every time, even though I have told them every time I have tried all the methods they have suggested,

So the issue is that I have narrowed it down to not being able to add the games to My Collection in the EA App therefore making them unable to download and install.

This has only recently become urgent as Origin is now closing down, and without Origin I will not be able to play any of my games even though I have an active EA Play Pro subscription.

I have tried changing my Region from UK to another country like Turkey and using a VPN but still have the same issues.

I have tried installing the EA App on 4 different machines and they all have the same issue.

I have now completely run out of ideas on what to do, because as soon as the Origin App becomes unavailable like it has for a number of my friends now, I simply won't be able to play any games.

Is there anything that can be done, as EA closed all the previous forums stating it was restricted to Teen Accounts and an update to the EA App also fixed this.

But I have an adult account and I don't feel I should have to buy games just to try and get them to add to My Collection when I have an active EA Play Pro subscription.

This is my absolute last hope for any solution, as EA Support is just absolute rubbish and they just send you scripted guides for issues rather than report them as genuine bugs.

    HI @bsmaff We recently made some changes that should have clear a few different reports up, can you clear EA App's cache once more and check if this continues?

    No nothing.

    Still not working.

    Is there anyway of getting Origin working again?

    I would really appreciate getting my games which I paid for to actually work.

    Any update on this as it has now been 2 weeks since your last response.

    Is it possible to either have a refund or just a CD Key so I can play F1 again, as although sometimes play BF2042, that isn't that important as it is pretty rubbish and buggy.

    I have also been having this issue for at least a year now. I just did a fresh reset of my PC, so I had to reinstall all applications I wanted to use. EA App is one of the apps I wanted to use, but I cannot download my games. Before I did the reset, I was always able to go back to Origin to download what I needed, but now that that is not an option I cannot download anything. I'm paying EA to have an application on my PC that allows me to browse a library, but not actually play any games.

    Why can this type of issue exist and for so long? Also, anytime I try to do the app recovery it crashes. I send in reports every time, but it's literally never once allowed me to actually do the recovery and clear the cache. It crashes 100% of the time.

    This is ridiculous.

    Any update yet?

    I was going to do a charge back on my CC but it has been over the permitted time, which goes to show how long I haven't been able to play games.

    However for some reason luckily for me Origin is now working again, so uninstalled the really bad EA App.

    Would still rather have a solution though as to why I am not allowed to download games on the EA App.

    I was able to find a link to download Origin, so I installed it on my PC as well. It installed, I launched it after closing the new EA app, and I was instantly able to download my games. I guess I will be using Origin again for as long as it works. It's incredibly frustrating that we as consumers have to download multiple launchers because the "new and improved" one literally will not let us play our games. 

    It's also embarrassing that EA still can't get this resolved. I've never had such an issue with any of the other 100 launchers that exist out there from Steam to UPlay to GoG, etc.

    Please let us know the link for Origin. will try reinstall see if that works.

    EA just likes to outsource 'without asking' these issue to the community, so when someone more tech savvy than me and all of the EA team,has the same issue and spends hours and hours finding the fix, finds it and posts it as [SOLVED] .......... even after that EA still does nothing...

    We Should just have all our games on STEAM, or whatever we want them on. EVERYONE wants there own unique * charging port that only works there brand named upside down * plug wall adapter!! FFS! your not APPLE Co

    Is there any update to this?

    Been about 3 months now without a solution and the really s**t EA App still doesn't allow me to download any games.

    When is this issue going to be resolved?

    Or can EA refund me for all the games I can no longer play?

    I am now forced to download the EA App now and have lost access to 90% of my games library.

    Why did you stop Origin from working when there is massive bugs in the EA App?

    You have ignored my request for well over a month now, and it has got to the stage where I can no longer play my games.

    Can you please get back to me ASAP with an actual solution, or I will be contacting my bank and seeing if I can get my money back for all the games which no longer work, or filing a case with the small claims court.
