EA App won't update Sims 4.

@BeautyGirl1  What patch level do you see in the lower-right corner of the Main Menu?  If it's 1.107.151, you're already up to date.

@puzzlezaddict My game version in the main menu is 1.107.151, however, in my docs/EA/The Sims4/GameVersion.txt it is 6/16/2024... Shouldn't it show the update from July? I do not have auto updates on the EA App as I have quite a bit of CC in my game. Thank you for your help.

@puzzlezaddict Thank you! I still don't know why the EA App insisted I needed to update my game and refused to let me play until I went through all the things I listed in my first email. Weird. Anyway, thank you for your help. Something so simple. I should have just looked at the Sims website to see if the update came out yet. 

It’s a Huge Bug , Non-Sims 4 Players are getting it as well. It’s been going on for over a month for some people. For me it’s been happening for about a month. I get the “Update game hub” notification when attempting to launch sims 4 but now my game DOES open but it takes a good 10-15 mins now for my game to open. Before it wouldn’t even launch , it just suddenly started to work sometime a week or two ago . I still have the notification though.

My is doing that right now do you know how to speed it up?

Hey guys l need help so bad with my sim 4. The Sims 4. The updating is still calculating time still loading and it’s at 13.31 GB/13.31 GB

Restart your computer, and repair Sims 4 rather than updating.  The repair will give you the fully-updated version.

I need help. Still not working

@Therealbaddie1  Uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), and use the Intensive scanning method.  Restart your computer, reinstall the App, and try again to repair, not update, Sims 4.  Run the App itself as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."
