For about 5s there is a loading wheel, then it goes blank. You can access the menu in the top left, but none of the options there work. The settings menu doesn't load. App Recovery tried 3x, nothing. I'm now reinstalling this app for the third time. This is extremely frustrating! Worst of all, most of my friends have had to do the same thing at least once for this very reason. Pretty is nice. Fancy is nice. Working is absolutely critical and trumps the other 2 by a country mile. Please do better, EA.

The thing that fixed it was reinstalling the App.On that note, it would be nice if it was documented somewhere that the App does not uninstall games if you uninstall it. The prospect of redownloading several 100gb of data is what kept me from trying that option earlier.

@SanderJK From 2021 to 2023 the ea app still won't * work. Pathetic to be called a * gaming company if they can't even have working stuff. I have uninstalled 30 time and restarted my PC even more. Idk what to * do but * on forms now.

Hi @SanderJK,

Thank you for the detailed information, lets have a look to see if we can get you back into EA Desktop again.

The first thing that I would suggest is clearing the cache via the App Recovery. You can find this by clicking on the Windows logo on your keyboard. From there you scroll to EA, click on it and select App Recovery to clear the cache.

Then, for good measure, reboot the PC an try again.

Could you give it a go and let me know if it works?

I have followed this method for a long time, but it still can not solve my problem. The situation is the same as before. What should I do?

I just saw your message deep in my email filters....
I uninstalled the app through the apps and features menu in windows, then reinstalled it through redownloading the exe.
That's all I remember really.
I later hit another bug that forced me to redownload Apex, the only EA game I really play any more, and I used that moment to switch to Steam

Hit the menu in the top right -> reload page. Windows 11 and that works.

Similar thing, the app just blanks out after login screen. I can log out using the right-click menu option on the tray icon though and get back to the login screen. Have not tried uninstall/reinstall thing yet, but App Recovery had no effect (Win10). I will report back.
EDIT: Yup, completely uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it. Odd, hope it doesn't "die" often...

Yup same problem here. Reloading the page didn't work, clearing the cache didn't work. Uninstall / reinstall fixed the issue.
Patch for this issue would be great.

I’m having the same issue except I can’t even uninstall the game I’ve ended all the background process, deleted the ea folder and yet as soon as I open the fresh exe file it tells me I still have it and it tries to repair it but it’s still blank. I’ve been at it for 2 days now and other than a fresh boot of windows it looks like I can’t use the service.
