Probably not what you want to hear, but I had to reinstall the game twice... Then it worked plenty fine and I went on to beat ME2.
It just sucks cus it's 110gb so that was like a 5hr install for me that I had to do multiple times. Haven't had a problem since that day though so at least it's working again. Hopefully it fixes your game aswell.

try to download apex then reinstall your game your problem will be solved

Literally just happened to me as well.
So frustrating.

Mine issue got resolved.... if you guys are,
1) logging in EA desktop app through Xbox account (Or game pass)----Then open EA desktop app >>search for Apex Legends >> click install >> Then pause and cancel download >> now your issue will be solved.
2) logging in EA desktop app through EA credentials ------ Then download "origin" app from origin website>> find your game folder in origin app, then click repair >>exit from origin app >> now your issue will be solved.
