How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? try and update a game via ea desktop when the game was originally installed via origin
What happens when the bug occurs? it trys to fetch the files to download but stays in an infinite loop and does not get the files or finish download.
What do you expect to see? files fetched then the download/update to occur as well as percentage of completion
so today i find myself with an update for APEX LEGENDS, it starting to fetch files for the update but didn't actually start finding them it just stayed in an infinite loop, i cleared cache, restarted the update sequence, completely signed out and back in but nothing helped. After a while i though to myself maybe if i try via origin it might help as this is where i originally downloaded the game, so i force closed the ea desktop app and opened origin and tried and it worked straight away.
so in conclusion if you have trouble via the ea desktop app and you originally downloaded the game via origin this could be why, save yourself the trouble and update your games via origin until its fixed
