5 years agoThe same happens when you install EA Desktop on the C:\ drive @PFindersDomain.
WHY the extra folder is in there, that I do not know, but I'm pretty sure that there is a logic behind it.
Any specific reason why you are raising this, as in it's causing issues, or just curious?

I have install a number of Game clients, even the Origin client did not have a double install folder. See attached.

This is really annoying. Hope they will fix this as soon as possible.
In the meanwhile I have found a fix which worked for me:
- Close EA Desktop App in Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL)
- Move the EA Desktop folder to the desired location.
- Remove EABackgroundService in Windows Services:
https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/how_to_delete_a_service_in_windows_10_8_and_7.html - Reboot PC.
- Install a new EABackgroundService:

- Done 🙂
