I will jump in here that I cam experiencing this exact same issue, except my DA:I Doesnt even receive an error message, just crashes back to the desktop and shows the launcher again. I have tried both origin and EA desktop, I have tried admin rights, Clean boot. I was mailing back and forth with EA support for two weeks now until you closed that email ([edit: email address removed]) and I now cannot contact you in any other way as I live in Sweden. So many people are experiencing this issue, your launcher or something else with your authentication does not work. If you cannot help your customers solve the problem you need to refund them for not being able to use the product they purchased.
Adding my dxdiag to the mix. Also a picture of how DA:I appears in my origins program, no background while all others have backgrounds. Something is obviously wrong.
Also same problem, just watched dragon age absolution on netflix and wanted to play again. But it's not working :c
