EA Desktop not recognizing ownership of games also accessible through EA PLay.
EA Desktop claims I only own certain games via EA Access, even though I may own physical copies. For instance, with Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2, I own physical copies as well as all DLC. EA Desktop thinks I own these only through EA Access. That isn't correct, and I'm worried that if I cancel EA Play I'll eventually no longer have access to a number of games that I have actually purchased through the years.
I also own Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, but EA Desktop does not think I own it at all. I have an option to purchase it or upgrade my basic EA Access to be able to play this game that I already own.
I get that the library isn't complete yet. That's not the problem. The issue isn't always that the games are not in the EA Desktop library, but that it doesn't recognize that I actually own certain games and content. It's extremely frustrating. It's been this way since closed beta, so I've mostly just stuck with Origin.
Edited to correct EA Play to EA Access. I think that's the correct name for the service.
