I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA Dekstop, but that hasn't solved the issue. I have no idea how to fix this on my own, nor does the internet, it seems.How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Simply click "Download" or "Add to my Collection" when trying to download Turmoil.What happens when the bug occurs? A loading circle appears on the screen and does not disappear. The download of the game also never starts.What do you expect to see? This bug to be fixed and the simple ability to download the games I want. I'm encountering quite a bit of issue trying to download the game Turmoil from the EA Desktop. I've looked online and it says to uninstall and reinstall the EA Desktop, which I've done twice now to no effect. I've also tried to simply add it to a collection to see maybe if the screen I was on was the problem. Nothing has worked. All the app wants to do is bring up a Loading Circle forever and not move forward. It does not start the download either, otherwise I'd be fine.

Clearing cache works for me:https://www.help.ea.com/en-gb/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/It's a little out of date - the file paths are different.The first folder to delete is actually 'EA Desktop' in ProgramData.As for the second lot of folders to delete, the path is correct this time but the folders still different. I just deleted 'EAConnect_microsoft', 'EADesktop', 'EALaunchHelper' and 'Electronic Arts'. Although really I've just moved them in case I deleted one I shouldn't have.It seems I have to do it every time I download a game.

I have EA Play through my Xbox membership but it’s super strange if it would be labeled incorrectly like that. That seems like something they could fix easily.

This is the exact same problem I've had. I can download games on my friend's account with EA play but just not my own one. Getting tired of seeing this red circle and getting disappointed.

@MTheAuthor Hey man, do you have EA play or EA play pro?
I have EA play and it wont download, but when i see the game on origin it says its only for the pro membership.
Im thinking it wont downloand because its listed as a free game but maybe its mislabeled or something

Unfortunately that hasn’t done anything for me. It just causes the app to crash over and over without opening up.

@MTheAuthor I had a similar issue with all the games on the store. the lack of support has been terrible but I managed to fix my issue by starting the download while using a VPN

Are you able to download the games after adjusting the User Account Control settings?

If you are having trouble downloading EA Play games, please try the following:

Workaround: Uninstall EA Desktop and allow the Xbox App to install it.
