EA Help (Twitter) Suggested I Post Here (DAI Not Launching)

I've uploaded a picture of the problem I'm having with Dragon Age Inquisition when I try to launch it through EAD (works fine in Origin).  I had a simple mod installed from DAI Mod Manager, which I figured out how to delete when Repair did nothing.  I thought that might be the problem, but the issue persists with it gone.  I've sent in an error report using the client, though I didn't copy down the number it gave me.  Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect Andromeda are the only other games I had installed through Origin and they're both starting up fine.

Otherwise, aside from that, I noticed EAD seems to load a bit faster than Origin and I like the idea of the play time setting.  I wish I could favorite games to put them at the top of my collection list, but I figure that's probably coming later.

Anyway, thank you for reading and I hope my feedback might be useful somehow.  🙂

  • Update: As you can see from the attached picture, I finally got Dragon Age Inquisition to run through EA Desktop.  If you run into this problem, the best I can suggest is what worked for me: make sure your game is NOT set to run as Administrator.  This does not seem to be compatible with EAD (when I turned admin mode back on and tried to run it through EAD, it made the client die on me).  I apologize that it took me so long to realize it was even *IN* admin mode, but at least the help team can see this and maybe it'll be of some use.
