Me too.

I cannot believe it takes FIFTEEN TRIES AT LEAST to almost force NFS Unbound to launch from Steam then the EA App.

EA... just... let us play from Steam, please guys, if you do not want to fix this issue, just let us play directly from Steam and take the L.
