Ea won't load and I can't open my game

The Ea app is stuck. First, it was just a blank screen. I've tried using Task Manager to shut it down and open it back and I was still getting a blank screen. Then I tried going offline then back online. Now, it's stuck on "Connecting to the EA app." This is the first time I've tried playing The Sims 4 since the new patch and nothing will work.
