EAappinstaller for PC is not responding

I recently bought Star Wars zero company for PC. As this is my 1st electronic arts game, I downloaded Windows 11 "EAappinstaller.exe" from https://www.ea.com/ea-app#downloads.

However, when I run it, I get a small black box. If I leave it running, nothing happens and when I click it, Windows will say that app is not responding.

A user on Reddit suggest that I download the program through steam by installing Sim4. When I tried, the same behaviour… A small black box and if I click it, windows will say app is not responding. Please find the attached picture:

Things that I tried: re-download the program, updating my C++ to the latest version, Running in administrator, rebooting my system, Pausing my antivirus!

I don't know what to do. Please help

My CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 265K, my GPU with the latest drivers: GeForce RTX 5070 Ti

Thanks for your reply. I actually managed to install it! After restarting my computer and before opening any other programs, I right-clicked on the installer and ran it as an administrator. That did the trick at last! I don't know what software was interfering with the installation!

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting the EA app installer to launch.

You’ve already tried quite a few of the usual steps, so could you try the following?

Install the latest Windows updates
Make sure Windows 11 is fully up to date, then restart your PC and try running the EA app installer again.

Repair Windows system files
Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run these commands one at a time: sfc /scannow

Once that finishes, run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Restart your PC afterwards and test the installer again.

Try a Clean Boot
A background application or service could be interfering with the installer. You can follow Microsoft's steps here: How to perform a clean boot in Windows. Once Windows starts in a clean boot, try running the EA app installer again.

Check Windows Security/antivirus
Even though you already paused your antivirus, please also check whether Windows Security has quarantined or blocked the installer.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please share a DxDiag report with us. This will give us a better look at your system configuration and may help identify what could be preventing the EA app installer from launching. How to gather a DxDiag report
