Error after moving from Origin to EA and updating

Question

Hello, I haven't played Sims in a while so I just moved from Origin to EA, and then had to update. However, when updating, it failed and said it couldn't update due to an Access Denied error. It also says if I'm using an antivirus software to add %gameFile% to the antivirus exclusion list, but I don't think I have an antivirus software. It shows me which folder it's trying to access, I just don't understand what I need to do. Thanks in advance!

Huh. The DIP_STAGED error was common in Origin and due to trying to update the game in a different Mac user account to the one the game was installed to. Try the fix for EA App and see if it works - Download error Origin is not able to download Sims 4 &amp;quot;DiP_STAGED&amp;quot; | EA Forums - 10181246&nbsp;

I only use one user account, I'm the only person using this desktop. I did a deep dive in my files/applications (looking for an exclusion list) and finally tried giving full disk access to the EA app and that worked!
