Unfortunately with games that come from EA, you have to download the app in order to play. For instance I have Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Sims4, and Spore, all that I bought through steam and is in my steam library. However, it is still an EA game and forces you to launch their game through the app.
None of these suggestions worked for me. At this point I'm considering pirating the sims expansions because I'm tired of trying to simply download an app! 🤔
I can't believe that worked...its such a simple solution to a seemingly BIG problem on NZXT new computers
(I have Player One NZXT with a few upgrades)
I've spoken to NZXT customer service to try troubleshooting as well
First if you haven't already...
Clear %temp% Files by deleting everything in that folder
Open "This PC" and find the folder "Windows"
Create a new folder called "installer", all lowercase and no spaces
If you further have issues,
Reinstall (.NET 8.0 Runtime) or (.NET 6.0 Runtime) if older version works better for your PC
This worked for me and ill let NZXT know this is a common problem with their computers.
Let me know if this DIDNT work for you!
- @miranellwolf Okay I’m going to try to download it on another PC and transfer it that way and see if it works. I’ll update this thread if it does work for me because our issues are identical. I’m trying to also play sims on my NZXT PC.
Yes and no on fixing it. I also have an NZXT computer. My previous computer died on me, so I took it to a repair shop but the guy wasn't able to save it. What he DID save was all my my files and whatnot. So I went into my folder of stuff he had saved and found the old installation download. Installed it that way. Found no way to download and install from the actual EA site. All of the 'fixes' they gave me was the exact same stuff that doesn't work.
Hello! I recently received a NZXT PC and I am unable to download the EA APP. I keep getting the same error code: INST-14-1632. It says "The EA app encountered an error and couldn't finish installing"
I've searched high and low, I've even chatted with EA support. None of the troubleshooting steps suggested are working for me. I've cleared my temp files folder, I've created a new windows user account and tried to install the app there, I've turned off my firewall, I've added the EA App files to the firewall exception, I've tried doing a clean boot, I've tired using a different browser to install the app, I've also attempted to modify my Microsoft VC ++ apps. And yes, I've also tried running it as administrator and I created an installer folder.
I'm not really sure what is left for me to do. I keep getting the same error code and nothing seems to work. I don't know what to do! Please help me.
- @TriniLynn Did you find a fix? I am having the exact same issue. Creating an installer folder did not work for me.
- @miranellwolf I am experiencing the same issue. I just got my new NZXT PC and it is not allowing me to install the EA App so that I can play Sims. I keep getting the same error code, event after going through all of the troubleshooting steps. I don't know what else to do! Did you find a fix? Creating the installer folder did not work for me.
I tried this but I am still having the issue with my new NZXT PC. It's so frustrating. I try to the clean boot, I tried modifying my VC+ + I've tried creating a new Windows User Account, I've cleared my computer temp folder. I added the files to my firewall exceptions. I've even chatted with EA support chat, they were unsuccessful with helping me and to me to come back here. I am not really sure what else I can do to fix this issue.
- @alexisnicole165 I managed to install the ea app but now I've run into another issue when trying to install a game it give an error after about c++ what exactly is that and how do I fix it
