I read all the forum messages about this issue from 3 years ago and tried all their solutions. I sent in a ticket to EA Games. I cleared the cache, restarted everything, went into the EA Games folder...

same problem with BF2042.........
Go buy it on steam, it's on sale for $2.99. I was trying to check out Battlefield 1 and have learned to never buy anything through their app ( though I am trying to play via EA play).
