INFO – Marked As Solution For Visibility
Hi folks,
Thank you for sharing your concerns about the "Failed to Launch Game - An Error on Our End..." message some of you are encountering in the EA app. It appears that most people experiencing this issue when launching games via the EA app, or through Steam combined with the EA app (such as BF2042, FC25, The Sims 4, and others), are using Windows Insider Preview versions of Windows 11 or have installed Windows Insider Preview updates.
Unfortunately, we do not support Windows versions or updates that are not yet publicly released. As the name suggests, Insider Preview builds and updates are beta versions meant for testers and insiders only, which are not fully tested or finalized for general public use. These versions can change significantly before the official public release.
Therefore, if you encounter this error when launching games through the EA app or other partner platforms like Steam or Epic integrated with the EA app, we recommend the following steps:
- Disable Windows Insider Preview to prevent further issues.
- A handy Microsoft article might be https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsinsider/leave-program.
- Uninstall the Windows Insider Preview Updates KB5064075 and KB5064071.
- Consider rolling back to a stable preview version of Windows from before the problem started.
These two updates, in particular, seem to cause the issue for most affected players.
‼️ Heads-Up! ‼️
If you are not using the Windows Insider Preview or have the Preview updates installed and still experience this error, please kindly provide your EA app Error Reporter ID and a DxDiag report and mention the game you're having this issue with.
Thank you.
- Disable Windows Insider Preview to prevent further issues.
