I recently uninstalled all my EA games and then re-installed them onto the new hard drive I bought (over 1TB) Five of the games installed without issue and I was able to change the location folder on the app. Today I tried to re-install Sims 4 and it says I don't have enough space. This made sense, as my C: disk is full, so I changed the install location to my new hard drive like I did before. But despite the location changing, it still says I don't have enough space when I know I do. It's like it's stuck on the C: folder and not recognising that the location has been changed.
C: Drive (full)
New hard drive
What happens when I change the install location:
Tried editing this, but it refuses to change.
So far I've tried:
- Clearing the cache (didn't work)
- Changing the location in settings (just reverted back to C: folder)
- Uninstalling then re-installing the EA app (nothing)
Any help would be appreciated. I don't understand why it worked for the other games, but has suddenly decided to stop.
