Just wanted to give you a quick update on the situation. It looks like the problem with the EA app, where the notification settings wouldn't save, has been fixed.

Having this problem today. I untick all the boxes in the Application Notifications settings, leave the tab, and by the time I go back to the tab they are all ticked again. Very very frustrating as there doesn't seem to be a way to disable the popups at all, and I was forced to install the app to play a game I already bought.
