Since August 6th SIMS4 game stopped working. It's the ONLY game that doesn't work on the EA app. I waited until August 10 and contacted tech support. The message that appears is that I have no connection, which is quite absurd because it is a message that it sends me after having logged in to the app.
It's been weeks of meaningless chats and emails. In technical support they have told me a lot of lies. I have a whole collection of emails and chats, and every time they give me a different excuse. It is a lack of respect. Lies like that it is a problem that affects hundreds of thousands of users and that they are trying to solve it, or that it is a problem with my windows services, or that it is a problem with my internet provider, or that it is a problem with my firewall, or a problem with the installation of the game or with Windows 11. They also told me that it was a problem with the game developer, and that someone would contact me to solve it. Guess what, never happened.
As absurd as it may seem, I have done each and every one of the stupid things that I have been asked to do:
Uninstall and reinstall the game and app.
Repair the game and the app from the app
Repair the game from Windows programs
remove my firewall
remove windows services
Move game folders from one place to another
I have sent screenshots
Anyway... NOTHING WORKS! After uninstalling and reinstalling the game more than 10 times (as tech support asked me to), one of the stuff packs fails to install, apparently it's another file that is corrupted.
The truth is that it seems that NOBODY at EA, during all these weeks, has bothered to find out what is wrong with the game. I haven't changed my internet provider, I haven't used a VPN, I haven't changed my computer... but you at EA keep insisting on sending me programmed replies insulting my patience and intelligence.
Today, for a change, technical support has another idea: they ask me to write in this forum my problem, and I do it to comply legally with any requirement, since they also refuse to return the money that I have invested in a game that does not work. I don't know why EA thinks they are above the law. It's unbelievable that a company of this size has mediocre customer service.
After almost a month with this issue, I have no more patience, my courtesy is over, I am not going to beg for a solution anymore, I do not want any more drama, I want my money back. That's all.
