[FIXED] Sims 4 - "Double-check your connection" or "Game License is Invalid"
I keep getting a pop up that says failed to launch game do to connection or try again later. I've tried deleting the chache, disabling servces, updating my computer, restarting the app, repairing the game, uninstalling and redownloading both game and app, I have changed the Dns, I have checked my internet speed, I have reset the router, I have reset my pc, I have changed internet connection, and I have checked to make sure the date and time are correct. I have been getting this pop up for 5 days. Nothing works, I'm so confused.

The update fixed it for me apparenty which is good news. I couldn't open any game before but now it seems everything is functional (tested with Titanfall 2). Will continue to test on other games too.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for keeping us updated on the issue.
Our teams are still hard at work investigating the issue, but in the meantime, they've released a new update for the EA app. Unfortunately, this new version of the EA app does not include any main fixes for the 'Failed to Launch the Game - "Double-check your connection" or "Failed to License Game"' issue, but it includes some changes to help the teams with their investigation.
We'd really appreciate it if you could check if your EA app is up to date (at the time of writing, the latest version is 13.37.0.5550) or try manually updating it using the steps provided here.
Once you have ensured that your EA app is completely up to date, please gather fresh logs for the EA app and Sims 4. Additionally, generate an EA app Error Reporter ID and provide it in this thread.

The The Sims 4 logs can be found in C:\ProgramData\Origin\Logs, they should look something like EAapp_OnlineActivation_Log.html or TheSims4_OnlineActivation_Log.html.

edit: i'm unable to contact them as their online chat system doesn't seem to be working at it's best? i'm unable to get to a point where i can talk to anyone..
Help please. I have been unable to launch my Sims game as of 08/07/23. I consistently get an error message saying - "Failure to Launch - Double check your connection or try again later." I've tried to launch from the desktop shortcut as well as the EA app. I have repaired the EA app, uninstalled and re-installed the EA app, repaired the game inside the EA app, uninstalled and re-installed the Sims multiple times. I have deleted every saved game and I don't play with mods or cc. I've changed settings to play as admin. I've changed security settings. There's nothing wrong with my computer or connection, as I bought a new Dell Alienware desktop that is more than capable of running the Sims and did so spectacularly for almost a year. I am able to launch other games from the EA app so there is nothing wrong with the connection. I am at a complete loss as to what to do. I have followed similar issues in the feeds and tried different things, but nothing works. I have spent thousands of dollars on these games, and now find that I am unable to play. This game is like therapy to me - and I need to be able to play again. I have submitted error reports to EA, and get nothing. I'm somewhat computer savvy, but I've tried everything I can think of and / or seen others do, and I'm just done. I simply don't know what else to do.
Did you try running game repair and deleting game cache if this do not solve the issue i would suggest contacting ea help via the ea help chat and they might guide you
I've also tried the file movement fix that i've seen on a few messages on here where i've moved the sims 4 file to my desktop but then the app thinks I no longer have the game installed on the pc at all - i've since moved the files back the EA file on my pc and the EA App recognises the game is installed again and I'm currently running the repair files option again to see that if moving the files back and forth could fix something?
