Friends list doesn't load in EA Desktop app, but works on Origin.

As the title says, EA Desktop does not load the friends list but displays a message that says "An error occurred and your friends list could not be located. Try again soon.". This has been happening ...

UPDATE

I have created a new account and the friends list works. I however want to use my main account because I purchased games

alright now I am randomly having this issue and have done everything that is recommended to resolve the issue but nothing works! I have been playing madden every single day including last night with my friend but all of a sudden today when i get on I am having this issue. PLEASE HELPPPP
