Game License is invalid

I am new to using the EA app. i used to play on PS4, but it died so I am on an old computer running Windows 7 with a 64-bit OS.

I just purchased Sims Medieval and Sim City 4. When I try to play either one I get an error. 

"The app couldn't read the games license file, so we suggest relaunching the game in online mode. If te problem continues, try clearing your cache."

I cleared my cache. I closed the EA app and tried running it as administrator. But nothing is working.
