Game update stuck and can't launch game

Summarize your bug Apex Legends update will not finish downloading or installing. Tried restarting EA Desktop Beta but still the same. Launched Origin and got the game updated, then closed it and launched EA Desktop, still says "Preparing Calculating time" and doesn't allow me to pause, cancel or even launch the game.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When a game update is available, try to download the update. That's it. It's stuck at that point.
What happens when the bug occurs? The update download stays stuck at "Preparing Calculating time..." Pause and Cancel buttons are disabled (mouse cursor changes to a disallowed icon) and the button to launch the game is also disabled (in the game hub).
What do you expect to see? Update progress, ability to pause or cancel update and eventually update to download and install successfully so I can launch the game.

I have reported this issue thru the Error Reporter, and pasted the Error Report ID above.
