    This worked for me. Thank you so much!

    *SOLUTION* Go on windows then search ''app recovery' it should have  a EA Desktop icon click on it then clear cache it should then work

The same issue is happening to me with Titanfall 2 installed via EA Desktop. Even though the game has not had any updates released for a few years now it still tries to prepare an update on every launch of the program where Origin doesn't (this still occurs even after validation the current installation via Origin)

I've submitted a report under the ID 7ca58fd5-a186-4100-b138-dcbb394c1a64 for this issue as well
