As a possible workaround, as recommended by someone else @frantayps it seems that in the EA App -> Settings
changing region to something else (e.g. from UK to Croatia) seems to restore the games library.
Worked for me, restored library, updated an app and allowed it to launch.

@PictTarge Just tried this. Worked for me. I changed to Denmark, then all my games returned, then I changed back to UK, and they're still there in my library.
I think I'm going to return buy physical copies of my games, in future. This is stupidly risky, letting companies control access to stuff you bought!

- 3 years ago@MurshedAC You're right, switching region back again seems to be ok.
As a side note, games being licensed not sold has been the way of things for EA, Steam, Epic, etc for quite some time - there are some exceptions like Gog https://www.techradar.com/news/pc-game-ownership-in-the-digital-age-what-do-you-do-in-a-post-ownership-age- 3 years ago
Now I am able to see all my games, without changing anything. Who cannot see, try restarting the app.
