None of my games will launch from the EA app or from the desktop thumbnails. I have tried all the troubleshooting methods found on THIS page as well as elsewhere on the internet. I have the Sims 4 and just bought the 25th birthday bundle yesterday. Today, none of my sims games will launch (those are the only games I have on the EA app). PLEASE fix this issue.
I actually just tested my own method. Went back online, tried to launch the game, no dice. Set it to offline mode, stopped working at all in offline. I went up to the menu and used App Recovery while in Offline mode, and when the app reloaded after the recovery process, I immediately set it to Offline mode and it worked again.
So you may not have to reboot your PC!
This is still a workaround though, the launcher needs to be fixed.
