I logged into my Origin account today (Friday 02-17-2023) and received an EA App popup that blocked my access to the Origin client library forcing me to upgrade to
the EA App. I had to choice but to continue with the installation. I had no other programs running but I use a custom installation for my games since I have a LOT of
them on my Windows 10 Pro PC. The Origin Client was installed in the default installation location on C:\ When I continued the process to install the EA App I let it
install to the default folder location the installer presented during the first steps of the installation process. My actual games installation folder is on a separate drive
just as it has been for years on ALL of my computers. There should not have been ANY problems with the client upgrade!
The operation proceeded until the very last bit of empty progress bar was visible. Then the popup Error message that the EA App FAILED TO INSTALL!
Now I CAN NOT access ANY of my games or anything "Origin Client" related because the EA App installation REMOVED all of the Origin Client Program!
Is there a fix for this? Is there ANY news on this issue since it appears to have been happening since the EA App was released?
Has anyone found a way to correct this problem?
Is EA Games Support team on top of this problem?
I have far too much money invested in EA Games in my library to have this happen. I am sure I am NOT the only gamer with this issue and with significant investment
in games to make this a major problem to us.
