Can not close the EA App notification.
Any ideas?
They are forcing you to update to their broken app. Welcome to EA
Many have the same problem, and are totally locked out as a result.
EA did this some weeks ago, but pulled the EA App upgrade after so many complaints.
They started to push it again a few days ago, and it's as bad as last time.
I regret that I do not know a workaround.
Last time I did nothing, left things as they were, and avoided wasting time trying to fix something that wasn't broken.
Sure enough, when EA pulled the EA App forced upgrade pop up from the Origin Login, everything worked fine again.
No matter what I did, I could not get the EA App to install from the pop up, or via a Download, it fell over every time and failed to install.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hopefully someone will find a workaround, or EA will fix their broken EA App thing.
Welcome to the club, same here it has been almost a week of troubleshooting without success and total ignorance from EA !
Oh its beyond ignorance. At this point it's malice. They spent money on their broken toy and now have to convince themselves the investment was worth it
I see ☹️ I'm sadden by this, yea EA App is okay for some, but it has too many issues for me, especially with downloads, origin lets me download updates and games near the same speed as my download, EA App doesn't even utilize my entire bandwidth. They could of just disable the store usage or something if they feel its insecure. I just want to open a game and not be forced to use different software to be plastered by unwanted ads or broken app. Origin is less resource hogging and light weight, EA App is just heavy on resources, unreliable, and seems to hate my Windows 11 install. I tried it when I had Game Pass and they offered EA Play for free, didn't like the app then, and don't like it now. Still has the same issues back then when i tried today, couldn't even install any game, just gave an error so just removed it. it's like they don't want me playing their games.
Why is app so * broken? Can not even log in to play my games **....
